How do we know if we are successful if we don’t even know what success looks like for us? How do we know if you we reached our goals if you don’t even have a goal clearly defined?
Okay. Assuming that you already know how important goal-setting is, the next question is how do we set goals exactly?
One effective method is called SMARTER system. It is an acronym for Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant, Time-Bound, Evaluate, and Reward.
S – Specific
Be as specific as we can. For example, set goals such as “I will write a 50,000-word book” instead of “I want to be rich.”
M – Measurable
Instead of “to lose weight”, say that “to lose 1 pound every week” or something like that so that it is measurable.
